SEQ Wildlife Rescue operates across South East Queensland: rapid response rescue, and hands-on education that helps people coexist with wildlife responsibly. An evidence-based shark tagging program is planned for the water off that coast.
Our mission is to protect and preserve Australia's unique wildlife while safeguarding the community.
We provide rapid response rescue services and deliver hands-on education that empowers people to coexist with wildlife responsibly. The next step is evidence-based shark tagging and research — planned, and waiting on the permits, partners and funding it takes to run properly.
Our vision is a future where people and wildlife thrive together. By combining scientific research with community awareness and practical conservation, we intend that every action we take — from a backyard rescue to a shark tagging expedition — contributes to a safer, more informed, and wildlife-conscious society.
We run on a not-for-profit basis, with charity registration in progress, and are committed to transparency, accountability and impact. Our work is made possible by community supporters and funding bodies who share our goal of protecting both people and wildlife — and the research side of it will take partners we do not have yet.

A large share of what we do never needs a vehicle. Identify the animal, confirm it is not a risk, explain why leaving it alone is the right call — done. Relocation is for the cases that genuinely need it.
Call or text — a licensed handler will talk you through it. If someone has been bitten, call 000 first.
